Last Friday marked the 100th day of teaching my current class of Compositing students at Alpha Chromatica. Since they started, I’ve been sharing 1 recommendation per day of what to read, listen to, or watch to improve their technical, artistic, and communicative skills.
This is a unique list for my students of podcast episodes, online tutorials, presentations, interviews, articles, books, breakdowns, websites, and videos I’ve collected or made over the course of my career as a VFX Trainer, Business English Teacher, and Compositor. Most importantly, it’s curated for THEM: their interests, questions, and for what they were working on during that week.
The habit of collecting a small amount of new knowledge on a daily basis and passing it on to others who could benefit is a gift that keeps on giving. I enjoy being a bridge between students and inspirational content that they can refer back to throughout their careers.
