Expectations: shattered.
To be fair, not being blind is technically a prerequisite for teaching visual effects but apparently, 'delusions of grandeur' might disqualify me.
Who knew?
I was the first in Canada to create and teach a full-time compositing program for the VFX industry. Over 14 years, Iβve taught 229 students with a 99.52% placement rate. My students have worked at every major VFX and animation studio in Canada but apparently, thatβs still not good enough for some.
Clearly, Iβve been setting my sights too low. For now, Iβm focused on building Alpha Chromatica, which I founded just over a year ago, and investing everything I have into ACE Class 3 and 4.
Thanks for the reminder, anonymous Reddit user. Iβll make sure to get my eyes and maybe my humility checked. Though, in all fairness, no oneβs ever accused me of being humble, and Iβve definitely never been endorsed for listening to naysayers.
