AI-generated art often employs sophisticated generative algorithms such as Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs) to construct artwork. These algorithms are capable of crafting distinctive, elaborate designs by learning from extensive datasets of pre-existing art.
Intrigued by this, I endeavored to replicate the outcomes of these algorithms manually! The process proved to be extremely challenging, owing to the intricate and unconventional methods AI employs to blend and morph varied elements. After several weeks of trying, failing, exploration and refinement, I am excited to unveil the latest version of my company’s logo.
Currently, I've designed the logo using Photoshop and Nuke and will need comprehensive redraw in Illustrator.
I am still in the process of refining the font spacing, style, and colours to achieve the desired balance and aesthetic.
Why choose a lion as the central element? Hailing from the Lion City (Singapore), the choice was deeply personal and symbolic. To me, lions have always epitomized stoicism and courage; qualities that resonate with the journey of an artist. Pursuing the artistic path demands immense courage, and the lion serves as a powerful emblem of this journey. Initially, I considered illustrating Narasimha, but drawing a half-man, half lion tearing the innards of an evil doer is probably not going to look good on a hoodie!
