Chroma 0397 - In Which Logos Are to Be Replaced

Here’s a challenge that encapsulates everything we aim for at Alpha Chromatica Education (ACE). One of our students took it upon herself to replace logos on cups and a paper bag for a shot from 𝗚𝗶𝗹𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗚𝗶𝗿𝗹𝘀.

Sounds simple, right? At first glance, maybe. But this wasn’t just another logo replacement, it was every students’s nightmare, disguised as an everyday object.

Here’s why: 𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗯𝗹𝘂𝗿. Not ordinary motion blur, but exaggerated, chaotic smears caused by hands holding and rotating cups. Tracking tools? Useless. Every attempt was disrupted by streaks. That left two choices: 𝗴𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝘂𝗽 𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗹𝗲 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗳𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆.

Projects like these test more than just skill, they test your ability to 𝗮𝗱𝗮𝗽𝘁 𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲. Tools won’t solve the problem. Templates won’t save you. Tutorials won’t hold your hand. And that’s where ACE focuses our energy: training students not just 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗼 𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝘁𝗼𝗼𝗹𝘀, 𝗯𝘂𝘁 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗸 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗯𝗹𝗲𝗺 𝘀𝗼𝗹𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀, artists who can walk onto any studio floor and find solutions, no matter how unpredictable or difficult.
