This was never about making the best demo reel for the industry.
It was about teaching my students how to appreciate the world around them.
It was about the relationships you make along the way, the people you laugh with, learn with, share meals with.
I’ve seen students fall in love.
I’ve seen them marry and have children.
I’ve watched them become permanent residents, and even Canadian citizens.
For 15 years, I showed up, day in, day out.
Not to chase applause, but to help my students from around the world achieve their dreams by throwing everything I knew at them.
You do you buddy.
And someday, if you’ve ever taught 200+ students how to become compositors, you’ll understand how I really feel about what you wrote here.
P.S. I was never Lost nor am I a Boy.
