Chroma 0435 - In Which the Author Learns to Walk Away
The most important skill as an artist I was never taught:
Walk away.
But it’s not the most important because “burnout is real.”
It’s the most important because:
• Some problems only solve themselves when you stop staring at them
• Distance creates clarity; and clarity creates breakthroughs
• Not every battle is worth your peace
The best artists don’t just know how to push through.
They know when to pause.
When to breathe.
When to let go.
Walk away.
p.s. stuck on your shot? your reel? your worth?
We made a school to help you land a job as a compositor in the Visual Effects Industry
