From day one, director Gil Kenan wanted Slimer back as a practical puppet on set then Imageworks layered digital enhancements on top. The film ultimately featured 1,400 VFX shots, with SPI doing the bulk.

And the new villain Garraka? The team rigged him to move like an โ€™80s animatronic, using modern muscle systems but animating as if a puppet, to keep that classic Ghostbusters feel.

This isnโ€™t nostalgia.
Itโ€™s craftsmanship, old-school rubber and rods meeting modern sims,until you canโ€™t see the seam.
