A friend asked me,“Are you planning to return to Canada?”

I said, “probably not.”

“Probably”: because life has a way of surprising you.

(I’m not that naive)

“Not”: because I’ve found where I’m meant to be.

I don’t rely on one city to give me purpose.

I’ve solved that problem.

  • I started in Canada with nothing but a chance (most painful part)
  • I spent 15 years teaching and building trust (hard part)
  • I built a way to keep teaching no matter where I live (harder part)

The skill I learned that changed it all:

Self-Reliance.

The skill of showing up every day, building something piece by piece, until you don’t need permission or a location to keep going.

(sounds kinda simple when you explain it like that)

So no, I’ll “probably” never move back to Canada.

But I’ll carry what I built here (Canada) with me, always.

P.S. Gonna miss the Seasons
