Chris Xiao was the only student at Alpha Chromatica Education (ACE) who did not have any prior visual effects and compositing experience.

Chris Xiao wanted to attend the former school where I was teaching, but when he learned from Alison Yang that I had resigned, he reached out to me.
I tried to tell Chris that I could teach him but would much rather not since everyone joining me at Alpha Chromatica already knew nuke and some compositing.
In the end, his persistence won me over. We at Alpha Chromatica are very proud of the work Chris was able to accomplish and are delighted to share that his entry to the Rookies has already been draft-picked!
Even though Chris has graduated, he continues to work on shots, Kuan Tsai will be supporting him weekly to ensure he is introduced to new concepts, techniques and even get some feedback on his new shots.
We don't cut our students off once the program is done. While most schools are primarily concerned with your first job - sometimes not even caring if you got a job related to your training - we at Alpha Chromatica are committed to supporting our students throughout their careers.
Every staff member at Alpha Chromatica was once a former student of mine who shares the same vision and passion for helping others succeed. We are artists first and not administrators who only care about putting bums in seats and meaningless, often exaggerated placement rates.
