In Which the Author Clarifies

I appreciate the community’s interest in my recent post, Chroma 0211 - https://lnkd.in/gEDaKMzu.

There seems to be some confusion about the list of studios where our students have worked, and I'd like to clarify.

The list I mentioned represents the students taught by Andrew Zeller and myself; not everyone on this list is an alumnus of Alpha Chromatica. In fact, only five students are presently associated with it.

I have since renamed my Notion page from "ACE - Where Former Students of Ganz & Andrew Have Worked" to "Ganz & Andrew - Former Students - Where Have They Worked."

I initially added the word ACE because I like to organize my Notion pages by categories, and to provide additional context, I wrote this on the Notion page itself:

"The former students, taught by Ganz Ramalingam (theFake.Guru) and Andrew Zeller, have gone on to work in some of the most prestigious studios in the industry.

This list exclusively represents the accomplishments of students taught by these instructors and does not reference or imply graduation from any specific institution. Our goal is to showcase the impact of the education and mentorship provided by our instructors.

If you have any questions or would like more information, please reach out to admin@alphachromatica.com or visit https://lnkd.in/gRvYVHQh"

To provide some background for those unfamiliar with me, I joined Lost Boys as a student in 2010, graduated in 2011, and started teaching there. I have taught 229 students over 13 years. Andrew Zeller rejoined Lost Boys as an instructor from 2017 to 2021.

Alpha Chromatica was incorporated in May 2023, and our first cohort of five students graduated in May 2024.

While you might not have hired our current Alpha Chromatica Education (ACE) graduates, your studio has likely employed a Lost Boys alumnus who was taught by Andrew or me.

Please feel free to reach out if you would like more information about my former students who have previously or are currently working at your studio.

Many of my former students, along with those taught by](https://www.linkedin.com/feed/update/urn:li:activity:7208543937697894400/) Andrew Zeller and myself have secured positions at some of the most prestigious studios in the industry.

Here’s a list of where our students have gone on to work:

If you're considering learning from Andrew and myself, this list might give you an extra reason or two to join us Alpha Chromatica

Please note, this is not a complete list; tracking down all 229 former students is an ongoing effort.

Here are some of the studios I've mentioned in my list.

Industrial Light & Magic, Wētā FX, Zoic Studios, Ingenuity Studios, Scanline VFX, MPC, Crafty Apes, DistilleryVFX, SPIN VFX, Monsters Aliens Robots Zombies, Framestore, Cinesite, One of Us, Sony Pictures Imageworks
