Chroma 0187
During the first week of class at Alpha Chromatica Education (ACE), I presented a lesson called "Pixels." My wife asked me how I could make a lesson about pixels last for one hour, yet the session ultimately spanned two hours as I delved into various aspects, including resolution.
One key lesson I've learned from teaching visual effects and compositing is to never assume the extent of students' knowledge. I start from the basics and gradually introduce more sophisticated and complex theories. By establishing a solid foundation, it becomes easier for students to build upon existing knowledge.
This approach is one reason why my former students succeed in the industry. Taking the time to thoroughly explain fundamental concepts equips them with a robust understanding, enabling them to thrive.
