After 9 weeks of lessons on Zoom, Andrew organized a fantastic get-together with our staff and students at JOEY Burrard in Vancouver. While not everyone could attend in person, it highlighted a remarkable fact: some of our students are taking this program from outside Canada!
It's astonishing to reflect on how far we've come. Back in 1996, I used to go to the public library in Jurong East, Singapore, just to find cheat codes for PC games. Fast forward to today, and we've created a remote team to help students worldwide succeed in their careers as compositors.
The ability to access servers, licenses and teach students live across the world is a dream come true. It's amazing how remote learning makes specialized education more affordable and accessible to everyone, not just those who can afford to relocate or take on massive amounts of debt to pursue their dreams.
Remote learning breaks down barriers, allowing anyone willing to learn to achieve their goals without the need to quit their jobs or uproot their lives. Moving to Canada is an extremely expensive proposition, but with remote learning, we can bring the classroom to you, wherever you are.
Seeing the students at the table who showed up for Alpha Chromatica was heartwarming. These students chose Alpha Chromatica Education (ACE) over more established schools.
Most of them signed up before we even made our website and showreel, and it was mostly thanks to my former students who directed them our way. So if you are reading this, Thank You!
And for everyone else at Alpha Chromatica Education (ACE) go enjoy your much-needed 2-week break in the sun.
