Chroma 0265
Yesterday, I helped Lincoln Dupree gain access and control of Vikram (Render Farm).
Today morning, Lincoln took the scene he meticulously crafted on his home computer, uploaded it to Vikram, and sent it off to render.
For those who’ve been in the trenches of doing CG, you know that moment of anticipation; watching as the farm takes over, processing your creation, and delivering something that would’ve taken days on a personal rig in just a matter of hours (hopefully).
This isn’t just about saving time; it’s about having the ability to work on something else instead of waiting for renders to finish.
Thanks to high speed Internet and Splashtop Inc., Lincoln was able to access Vikram from the United States!
P.S. For those of you who’ve experienced the magic of render farms, what’s the most complex scene you’ve ever sent off to render?
