Polishing Resumes
What if someone cared enough to spend not the average 7-9 seconds looking at your resume, but an entire day?
What if someone cared enough to spend not the average 7-9 seconds looking at your resume, but an entire day? What if that person prepared 5 pages of constructive written feedback specific to YOU and your desired role? That's something I wish I had received as a student that I now provide.
This is how I approach helping my students at Alpha Chromatica craft and polish their resumes, drawing on my background as a business English teacher among other roles and hiring experiences.
I've censored the example document below for privacy, but you can see how this person received 23 suggestions. These were different from what I shared with other students because: every person has a unique story to tell. The recruiters I've spoken with are perceptive and can spot AI-assisted language a mile away after seeing A LOT. If you want to stand out, an authentic voice is essential to convey who you are and why you should get the job.
