When middle-school science teacher Ryland Grace (played by Ryan Gosling) awakens aboard an alien spacecraft, light-years from Earth, stripped of memory, and clutching the fate of humanity in his hands, he realises this isn’t a rescue mission. It’s a reckoning.

Directed by Lord & Miller, from a screenplay by Drew Goddard and based on the novel by Andy Weir, the film places Grace in a ship hurtling toward a dying star system with one hope, one chance, and possibly one ally that is not human.
