As the year slowly winds down, we thought it was the perfect time to share some of our favorite cinematic moments, the ones that made us laugh, gasp, and sit on the edge of our seats like kids seeing magic for the first time.

Because here at Alpha Chromatica, we’re not just artists or instructors, we’re unabashed, wide-eyed fans of cinema.

We're the ones who still get goosebumps in a dark theater, and who talk about movies like they're old friends. We're not your typical jaded VFX pros who scoff at pop culture and turn their noses up at the joy of it all.

One of Ganz's favorite moment as kid was when Ray Stantz, in a fit of panic, accidentally chooses the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man as the destructor. That one scene, when Ray’s face goes from “oops” to “oh no” as a 100-foot marshmallow mascot stomps through New York City is etched into his memory.

It’s not just funny; it’s unforgettable. The kind of moment that burrows deep into your brain and sets up camp there.

You know, it’s these ridiculous, brilliant scenes that remind us why we fell in love with movies in the first place. No matter how many VFX breakdowns we do, no matter how many times we’ve seen behind the curtain, there’s still this spark when you watch a character like Ray realize he’s summoned pure chaos in the form of a giant marshmallow. It’s pure cinematic joy.

So as we look back on the year, we’ll be sharing more of these moments that made us believe in the magic of storytelling all over again.

Here’s to the moments that keep us all dreaming, imagining, and turning every little ‘what if’ into something bigger than life itself.
