Movies We’re Waiting For
Wuthering Heights, Directed by Emerald Fennell

Some stories burn long after the lovers are gone.
Emerald Fennell’s Wuthering Heights revisits the storm between Cathy and Heathcliff with a scale and sharpness that suits her filmmaking, casting Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi as two people caught in a devotion that reshapes everyone around them. Their bond begins as longing and grows into something darker, pressing the limits of loyalty, pride, and obsession.
The film is built with precision across every department. Linus Sandgren’s cinematography defines the moors with a restless beauty, Suzie Davies’ production design grounds the world in physical weight, and Jacqueline Durran’s costumes track the characters’ descent through desire and consequence. The ensemble expands the emotional range further with performances from Hong Chau, Shazad Latif, Alison Oliver, Martin Clunes, and Ewan Mitchell. Charli XCX contributes original songs that give the adaptation its own pulse.
At Alpha Chromatica, we pay attention to films that understand how intensity shapes character, and how character shapes every frame.
Love can refine or ruin, but it never leaves the world the same.
