AI-enhanced means the tool was built for humans and the AI got added later.
That order is the problem, the AI is an afterthought, and afterthoughts don't work.
For AI to actually work, three things have to be true.
The tool needs to be built API-first so AI can act on data, not just read it.
The data needs to be searchable by meaning, not buried in folder hierarchies no one remembers.
And the tools need to talk to each other because bolting AI onto Salesforce, Notion, and Slack separately doesn't break down silos. It just moves the coordination problem from humans to also humans.
Most companies have none of this.
They have chat windows on top of legacy architecture calling it transformation.
That's not AI-native. That's AI-shaped.
