I spent a long time thinking success would feel better than it did.

Every artist chases some version of it. The credit. The title. The project big enough to finally feel like proof. And when it arrives, there's a moment of relief, followed by a quiet that nobody warned you about.

Because the thing we were actually looking for was never in the credit.

What I've seen in artists who seem genuinely at peace isn't that they got everything they wanted. It's that they stopped needing external things to confirm what they already knew about themselves. They found work that made time disappear. They built a life they didn't need to escape from.

That's the real target.

Not the approval. Not the milestone. The feeling of waking up actually wanting to do the work in front of you.

That's what I've building toward.
