My laptop wouldn't run Photoshop.
I needed to make the HeyGanz.com logo for linkedin, and the tool everyone reaches for was dead on my machine. So I opened Nuke and built it there instead.
Nuke is a compositing tool, not a logo tool. But I know it, it was in front of me, and it could do the job. So that is what I used.
That is the whole idea behind HeyGanz.com
The artists who make it are not the ones with the perfect setup. They are the ones who solve the problem in front of them with what they already have. Most training teaches you to copy a tutorial, which works right up until your situation does not match it. Then you are stuck, because nobody taught you to think.
HeyGanz.com is being built for the other kind of artist. The one who wants to stop waiting for the right conditions and start solving.
I am building it in the open, logo and all. Follow along if that sounds like you.
