Knowing what to let go of is a skill.

Maybe the most underrated one you have.

You have more coming at you than you could ever answer. Messages, feeds, DMs, notes, people waiting on a reply. You try to keep up with all of it, and the piece you actually want to make sits there, waiting.

Letting go sounds like a bad word, I know. It brings up images of ditching a project halfway or ghosting someone who asked you something three weeks ago. Fair enough. Sometimes that is exactly what it means.

But a lot of what is piling up is stuff you would honestly feel lighter without. The information never stops. Social media turned your whole life into an inbox that is always open. Nobody can answer all of it.

So the real talent is telling the difference. What deserves your grip, and what deserves your release.

Clear the desk, and you finally have room to make something.
