You've made a good point in a review. The logic holds. And it still doesn't land.

Here is something I learned the hard way on the floor. A logical argument can make complete sense and still get you nowhere. Sometimes pointing out that your position is sound only makes the other person uncomfortable.

Think about when it has happened to you. Someone lays out their reasoning and says, "You make a good point, but..." and it puts you off. There is a reason for that. An argument can hold together in theory and still miss the messy reality in front of you.

So stop reaching for logic like it is a secret weapon. It often gets rejected or picked apart.

Try this instead. Say something like, "I can see how this might be hard to relate to, but..." You show that you understand where they are coming from. That makes it easier for them to tell you how they really feel. From there, you can look for a way forward together.
