Some of the most draining experiences in a VFX career aren't the hard projects. They're the ones where you kept giving and nothing came back.

The studio that always needed more. The collaboration that was always almost working. The direction you kept trying to fit yourself into despite the consistent resistance.

What I've watched in artists who finally turned a corner is that they stopped trying to force what wasn't moving and started paying attention to what already was. The work gaining traction, the relationships that felt genuinely reciprocal, the direction that kept growing the more they gave it.

Those quieter signals are usually the more accurate ones. Follow what's already growing.
